Job Profile / Duties / Responsibilities:
Camp Counsellors will be responsible for:
Planning, preparation, and execution of program activities and workshops (both on and off-campus)
Provide support and resources to international students in our program
Additional support of students registered in the Youth International English Program
Other duties as assigned based on International Program needs
Camp Counsellors report to: - Camp Co-ordinators, who oversee the day-to-day operations, camp counsellors, and any student issues
Additional Job Information:
Weekday shifts will take place in the evening, and weekend shifts will begin at noon
We aim to hire a balanced counsellor team
An average work day varies based on the needs of the camp
An average work week consists of 6 days-1 day off per week operating on a rotating schedule
Working hours may vary

Camp Leader

Job Profile / Duties / Responsibilities:
Future Possibilities for Kids is seeking Camp Leaders who have the ability to manage campers while providing an inclusive, adventurous camp environment where all children are encouraged to participate, and form relationships, while learning leadership and life skills. Camp Leaders are accountable for daily operations, programs and camper safety. The Camp Leader position is essentially a supervisor role and requires the confidence to lead with distant and onsite leadership from the Camp Director. This is a full time, contract position for 7 weeks.
Camp Leader Training & Debrief:
Mandatory to attend all 4 Training dates from July 2 – 5, 2019 (9am to 4pm). -Training is experiential in nature and requires staff to be coachable, as well as open and willing to learn
Mandatory to attend the Final Debrief Day for all camp staff on August 19th, 2019
Camp Contribution: • Mandatory to attend all Camp Sessions from July 8 – August 16, 2019 (Monday to Friday; 8am to 4pm)
Supervise, and provide leadership for campers and volunteers
Facilitate camp curriculum each day with introductions, camp rules and planned activities
Act as the on-site key contact person for parents/guardians and community partners
Implement and uphold the Kid-led philosophy in all programming
Awareness and ability to implement emergency procedures (medical & environmental emergencies)
Keep up-to-date inventory of camp supplies and equipment. Co-ordinate with Camp Director to ensure all necessary supplies are received in a timely fashion
Lead daily co-staff and volunteer debrief
Regular check-ins with Camp Director onsite and remotely
Maintain positive and trusting relationships with campers, staff, volunteers, and community agencies

Must have camp experience and/or experience in planning and facilitating groups of children’s programs
